Reported Crime in Bibb County up in 2010

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office announced nearly 2600 crimes were reported in 2010, which is 130 more than 2009.
However, last years figure was lower than five of the previous eight years.

Comparing the last two years:
Homicides were down 25% in 2010 from 2009.
Aggravated assaults were down 5%,
and rapes declined 26% last year.
