Macon-Bibb County Continues to Consolidate Offices

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – With only a few weeks left until consolidation, many of the Macon and Bibb County offices are already combining to help provide a smooth transition.

According to a news release from the transition task force, during the week of December 9th, the finance departments will consolidate in City Hall and the purchasing departments will consolidate in the City Annex. Human resources, payroll, and risk management already combined and are operating in the City Annex building.

Macon Mayor and Macon-Bibb Mayor-Elect Robert Reichert stated, “I want to thank the people in these departments for continuing to serve the public and employees of Macon and Bibb County while going through these moves. Also, the team that is coordinating these moves and the departments doing the renovating and moving deserve our thanks for making sure it is done in a way that minimizes any impact to services.”
