Bloomfield Community Center Hosts Thanksgiving Meal

A little pre-holiday spirit filled the air tonight at the Bloomfield Community Center in Macon for the annual Thanksgiving in the Neighborhood.

Several organizations and small businesses collaborated to provide a thanksgiving meal.

A comedian as well as a dance team showed up to entertain the crowd of about a hundred people.

It was all in an effort to unite the community and make use of the recreation center.

What we do is we’re trying to bring awareness back to the recreational centers as well as let them know what they have access to as far as resources,” said Koi Herring, CEO of Feeline, Inc.

“(It’s) to help better serve the community–help make the community more aware of what we actually have going on in their community at our recreation facility, which has been a great opportunity,” said Andrea Lee, Director of the Bloomfield Community Center.

Organizers stressed the need to be good neighbors and expressed gratitude to all who participated.
