Macon Police Catch Two Alleged Burglars in the Act

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Macon police say they caught one suspect red-handed, and another not too far from the scene of a crime Sunday night.

39-year-old Stevenson Alexander and 41-year-old Stacey Canady were arrested and charged with burglary.

Police say the two broke into a home on Third Street.

When officers arrived on the scene, they saw Canady leaving through a window. Three officers caught him after a long foot chase.

Another officer caught Alexander while he was trying to leave the home. He’s also facing a charge for parole violation.
