Multiple Lane Closures in Bibb County

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Georgia Department of Transportation has some lane closures for motorists as they prepare to travel during this holiday week.

Starting Monday, November 25 through Tuesday, November 26 one lane will be closed for slab repairs on I-75 Northbound at Exit 160A from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Guardrail repairs will close the left lane on I-75 Southbound at mile markers 166 AND 165 starting at 9 a.m. Also, for those heading North on I-75 Monday there will be a right lane closure near mile marker 160 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Starting Tuesday, there will be a left shoulder closure on I-75 Southbound at mile markers 172 through 171. The left shoulder will be closed on I-16 Eastbound at mile markers 0 through 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. The left lane will be closed at mile marker 3 on I-16 Eastbound from 10 a.m. until noon.

The Georgia DOT will suspend all construction-related lane closures on interstate highways and primary state roads from 5 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27 through 10 p.m. on Sunday, December 1.

All motorists are reminded to use extreme caution and reduce speeds traveling through construction zones.
