Murder Investigation Underway in Laurens County

EAST DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested 73-year old Roy Waters and charged him with murder.

The coroner pronounced 62-year old Melvina Dunlap dead at the scene. According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, Laurens County EMS was called to a home on Pace Lane in East Dublin for an unknown medical call, but when they arrived, they found Dunlap had been shot.

The case remains under investigation.
