Macon Attorney Running for State Senate District 18
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A Macon attorney, and a man with a famous name is hoping for your vote in the 2014 race for state senate.
John F. Kennedy, a republican, is running for the District 18 seat currently held by fellow republican, State Senator Cecil Staton.
In a news release sent to 41NBC, Kennedy wrote, “I am not seeking the spotlight or a title. I understand that this State Senate seat belongs to the people—not to the individual who serves in it. I will never forget that. If elected, I will work hard for you, stand up for our conservative values and serve you with the character and integrity you deserve. I humbly ask for your vote.”
Kennedy is a managing parter at the Macon-based law firm of James-Bates-Brannan-Groover, LLP. He is a graduate of both Mercer University and Mercer Law School. He currently lives in Monroe County.
Kennedy also said he’s focused on protecting the farmers, the taxpayers, and Robins Air Force Base, as well as fostering job growth.
District 18 covers Crawford, Monroe, Peach, and Upson counties, and parts of Bibb and Houston counties.
