Store Burglary Ends With Arrest

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon police officers made an arrest this Friday after responding to a burglary at Mini-Foods on 36 Spring Street.

Ashley Banning Barnes, 38, sits behind bars after a robbery investigation revealed two 12-packs of beer, and burglary tools, including a hacksaw and hatchet were found on the side of the store.

Barnes was transported to the Bibb LEC, and charged with burglary to the first degree, financial transaction card theft and possession of tools for commission of a crime.

Bond is set at $13,450. Barnes is being held at the Bibb County Jail.
