Two Schools Designated As Alert Schools In Bibb County

Two school have been designated as alert schools in the Bibb County School District.

This morning, the Georgia Department of Education has announced Williams Elementary School and Bruce Elementary School do not meet the success rate set forth by the GaDOE.

Williams Elementary School was found to have an achievement rate that is below average in both overall achievement rate and subject achievement rate as compared to other schools in the county.

Bruce Elementary School has also been designated as having a subject achievement rate that is below the state-mandated standard.

Each year, the GaDOE assigns schools to each list as alert schools or reward schools depending on achievement rates.
