Warner Robins Softball Champs Get Big Surprise

The 2010 Warner Robins Softball Team received a big surprise on Friday.

Wyle Corporation presented the girls with a check for $5000. When the corporation learned some of the girls missed out on a trip to meet President Obama last year because of funding, they wanted to help turn the team’s dream into a reality.

“When we found out there was this team that has twice been the world champions right here in Warner Robins where one of our offices are and that they needed a little bit of help to be able to have an opportunity of a lifetime to go see the president we wanted to participate in that,” said Wyle Aerospace Group President Peter Green.

The money will cover the team’s airfare to Washington, D.C.
