Lizella Hit and Run Victim Dies from Injuries

LIZELLA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The person injured in a Crawford County hit-and-run earlier this week has died.  The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office says 36-year old Ricky Dennis Bacchus of Lizella died this morning from his injuries.

Investigators have a person of interest, but that person’s name has not been released.

On November 12th, at 7:20am emergency crews responded to Sandy Point Road near Creekview Drive.  Previous reports from the sheriff’s office indicate Bacchus was riding a bicycle when he was hit.

Crawford County deputies and the Georgia State Patrol continue to investigate.
