Space Heater Fire to Blame for Peach County Death

A space heater is to blame for a fire that caused the death of a Fort Valley woman.

Results from an investigation into a house fire that killed 83-year old Emma Williams last Friday found that the fire started from a space heater that was located too close to the bed.

Williams died of smoke inhalation. She lived at the home with her daughter who was not at home when the fire started.
