Middle Georgia Remembers Fallen Heroes

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Memories of Georgia’s service men and women captured in time, brought some people to tears as they looked back at fallen heroes today.

Bellevue University and the Central Georgia Woodmen of the World sponsored ‘Remember Our Fallen’, a touring photo display, to honor the military who gave their lives for our country.

More than 200 soldiers are represented in the exhibit.

Gena and Robert Courtney brought flowers and made a card for their son, Kelly Courtney, who died during the Iraq and Afghanistan war.

“We will pay tribute, even if it’s just traveling photographs, we will pay tribute to our countries fallen heroes. I think it holds well for all of us to remember who gave their lives for our, and unfortunately, one of our sons was one of them–something that we would have never ever imagined,” says Gena.

You can visit the display at the Terminal Station located on 200 Cherry Street until November 12th.
