Man Indicted for Shaking and Choking Baby

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Bibb County man accused of shaking and choking an eight month old, baby was indicted Tuesday.

Kendall Mesean Spivey was indicted by a Bibb County Grand Jury for maliciously causing bilateral bleeding on the baby’s brain and retinal hemorrhages.

According to the indictment Spivey used cruel and excessive physical and mental pain to the child.

The incident happened last year on April 10.

Spivey is charged with two counts of cruelty to children in the first degree.

He has a crimninal history. Spivey was convicted of aggravated assault –family violence, stalking and burglary on Dec. 4, 2007, according to the indictment.

He was also convicted of possession of marijuana on Oct. 17, 2002.
