Lifetime Movie Crew Setting Up This Weekend in Macon
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A movie crew is expected to set up in Macon for a few days starting Friday evening.
Macon’s Terminal Station will be the back drop for a scene in a Lifetime TV movie called “The Trip to Bountiful”.
No roads are expected to be blocked in downtown Macon, except for temporary closures on Fifth Street as the crew shuttles equipment to Terminal Station from a staging location between 41NBC’s building and the new Tubman Museum’s back parking lot.
Most of the shots will be inside Terminal Station and behind that building. Shooting for the scene is expected to begin Monday and end Tuesday.
Backstage.com just closed a casting call listing for for the movie and indicates the movie will star Cicely Tyson and Vanessa Williams. The listing says the movie is about “A woman’s determination to go home one last time restores hope and faith to her family.” A theatrical version of the movie wrapped up production on Broadway last month.
