Macon Police Collect 162 Pounds of Prescription Drugs at ‘Take Back Day’

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Hundreds of pills and prescription drugs were collected in Macon during the annual “Drug Take Back Day” on Saturday.

Macon Police Department’s Narcotics Unit joined forces with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to offer a safe place to dispose of old, unused and expired prescription drugs.

At several drop points, people could get rid of the drugs, free of charge, no questions asked.
