One Dead in Jones Co. Hunting Accident

GRAY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – One person is dead after a hunting accident in Jones County on Saturday.

The accident happened on Union Hill Church Road at 12:30 p.m., near the Jones/Putnam County Line. According to Sergeant Bobby Gay with the Jones County Sheriff’s Office, one person is dead, but the name is not being released at the time.

The Jones County Sheriff’s Department and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources are investigating the incident.
