WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – New slides, monkey bars and swing sets are coming to several Warner Robins parks.

On Monday night, city council voted unanimously to purchase nearly $53,000 worth of equipment for several parks, including Ada Lee and Ferguson Memorial. The money will be used to replace the old portions of the playgrounds making it safer for the kids.

“It’s used and it gets where it’s broken,” said Warner Robins City Council member Carolyn Robbins, “we need to keep our playground equipment open for children to have somewhere to go play.”

The city is purchasing the equipment from Miracle Recreation, a company out of Greensboro, Georgia, and from a company called Game Time.
