UGA Health Navigator Addresses Online Marketplace Glitches

WRIGHTSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Frustrations are growing over the online marketplace-healthcare.gov.

It has been open for weeks, but some citizens across middle Georgia find the site hard to use due to occasional technical difficulties.

University of Georgia health navigator Tammy Allen says the volume of people, and the urge to get coverage before the end-of-year deadline could play a major factor in the glitches.

“The biggest barrier right now is the Internet,” Allen said, “It’s top priority for the government, and it’s [healthcare insurance] being offered to everyone in the United States.”

Allen adds people have more success and experience less difficulty when they complete their application on Saturday nights.
