Gordon Woman Arrested For Beating Elderly Man

GORDON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Gordon woman was arrested after she beat an elderly man. Gordon Police Chief, Mike Hall said 49-year-old Connie Denise Briscoe violently beat 89-year-old, Clifford Hall.

Hall’s right eye and left arm were injured during the assault.

Police said Briscoe went to Hall’s home, Tuesday and forced her way inside. She asked him for money but, Hall refused.

“She ripped the phone out of the wall and began beating him with it,” said Chief Hall. “The she reached into his front pocket and took $1,579 from him.”

Briscoe is charged with aggravated assault, burglary and elderly abuse.

The police chief said she has been previously arrested on theft, writing bad checks and forgery charges.
