UPDATE: Macon Police Investigating Motel Shooting

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon police are investigating an early morning shooting that left one teenager dead.

According to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones, the call came in 4:30 Monday morning at the Scottish Inn Motel on Romeiser Drive in Macon. Jones says a 19-year-old Darrius Washington of Warner Robins  had a gunshot wound to the upper left of his chest.

Jones tells 41NBC he believes there was some kind of altercation that started in one of the motel rooms and ended in the parking lot. 

Jones says as of Monday morning, police are still looking for suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
