Two Accused of Attempted Armed Robbery of Pizza Delivery Man
HOUSTON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – One man and a teen are in police custody in Houston County after they allegedly attempted to rob a Marco’s Pizza employee.
The victim, 19-year-old Lucas Defore, was delivering pizzas near Woodfolk Rd. when an armed suspect confronted him.
Defore sped away as the suspect fired multiple shots, striking Defore’s vehicle.
Adrian Simmons, 22, is charged with aggravated assault, criminal attempt to commit armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, among other charges and is currently in the Houston County Detention Center held without bond.
A sixteen year old male has also been charged in the case and is being held at the youth detention center. He’s charged with aggravated assault and criminal attempt to commit armed robbery.
Investigators have recovered the firearm and other evidence connected to the case.
