Venezuela Leader Rejects Cordial Relations With US

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) – Venezuela’s president says his government won’t have cordial relations with the United States as long as its diplomats continue what he alleges is attempts to destabilize his country.

Nicolas Maduro’s tough talk Tuesday came a day after he announced the expulsion of the top U.S. diplomat in Venezuela and two other embassy officials, alleging they conspired with “the extreme right” to sabotage the economy and power grid. The U.S. State Department again on Tuesday rejected the allegations that the United States is trying to destabilize Venezuela.
