Man Hit and Killed on Gray Highway in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones tells 41NBC 25-year-old Daniel Muhhamed was walking home from his job at a local hospital, when he was struck and killed.

It happened near the Walmart on Gray Highway. The 20-year-old driver of the 2006 Dodge Stratus that hit Muhhamed did stop and call police. Coroner Jones says he declared Muhammed dead around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Macon Police is investigating the incident. Macon Police spokeswoman Jami Gaudet is in contact with a fatality investigator and will release information once it becomes available. No word on any charges.
