Robins Air Force Base Partners with Local Governments, Businesses

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Sept. 25, will go down in history as the day the first charter was signed between Robins Air Force base, local government and corporations. The P4 Partnership Charter established the P4 Partnership Steering Committee and Executive Council.

The Robins Air Force (RAF) Community Partnership Initiative was created to explore cost-saving opportunities through shared services with the local communities.

Col. Chris Hill was among those signing the charter on behalf of the air force base. He was joined by Warner Robins Mayor Chuck Shaheen and other mayors, CEO’s and air base personnel.

“This is a great day for Robins Air Force base and our community,” said Col. Hill. “This charter . establishes a formal relationship with our community host three cities in Houston County and Macon and helps us formalize our structure to partner with one another.”

Mayor Shaheen agreed with the colonel on the importance of the collaboration.

“This is such a historic event that we’re actually doing a charter forming a committee and we’re going to actually partner closer with RAF base whether it’s utilities aero space anything that we can do to help them.”

Robins Air Force base has a partnership with Houston Healthcare, Warner Robins Police Department, Houston County Library System and collegiate work study programs.
