Bibb County Muggings

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Department is investigating three seperate mugging incidents that happened Saturday night. Deputies responded to a mugging in the parking lot of the Porter Ellis Community Center on Houston Rd Saturday evening.

According to the victims, a dark colored Honda pulled up with three men inside the car. Two men got out of the car, one showed a silver handgun and demanded money. The suspects took the victims wallet and left the parking lot. No one was injured.

About 40 minutes later, Deputies were called to the Fall Spring Creek Apartment complex on Wesleyan Dr. A witness there said, three suspects in a brown box style car, pulled up next to a man walking down the street. One of the suspects showed a silver handgun and demanded money from a 46 year old man. After taking the money the suspects left the scene with an undisclosed amout of cash.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Department is also investigating a mugging in the parking lot of the Carriage Hill Apartments on Northside Dr. According to Witnesses, the victim was leaving her car when a suspect displayed a silver handgun and took her purse. Investigators believe the mugging at the Fall Spring Creek apartment complex and the one at Carriage Hill apartments are both related.

In both apartment robberies, the suspect is described as a black male, about six feet tall, and weighing around 200 pounds.
