Golfers in Perry Swing Their Clubs to Help Kids Fighting Cancer

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Golfers in Perry got to swing their clubs for a great cause on Friday.

Supporters came out to the Perry Golf club for the first annual chariots for children golf tournament.

Adam Ragan, NASCAR Driver David Ragan’s brother, was the guest of honor as golfers played for trophies, plaques and awards all to raise money for kids battling cancer.

“We’re very excited this is an excellent fundraiser, this is a big fundraiser, we’ve got a excellent turnout a great amount of people, all people making donations to the charity, we’ve got raffles, door prizes, it’s a really big day for the charity,” Charlie Cole, founder of the Chariots for Children.

The money raised from today’s golf tournament will go to make a little boy with cancer’s dream come true, to fly in an airplane over his house.

Chariots for Children’s goal is to provide kids stricken with cancer and their families, the opportunity to experience new adventures.
