No. 11 Florida State Starts Season at Pittsburgh Monday Night

PITTSBURGH (AP) – The first weekend of the college football season wraps up Monday night niight with 11th-ranked Florida State at Pittsburgh. The Panthers are making their ACC debut against the defending conference champs.

While quarterback E.J. Manuel is now in the NFL, Florida State already has his apparent in Jameis Winston, who beat out sophomore Jacob Coker to become only the third redshirt freshman in program history to start the season opener.

The Panthers defense returns seven starters from a unit that ranked 17th nationally last season.
