Richard Petty in Middle Georgia for the Racers Reunion

Richard Petty will be at the 3rd Annual Racers Reunion on Saturday, August 31st in Byron, Georgia at the Historic Middle Georgia Raceway.  The goal of this yearly festival is “to preserve, protect and celebrate the history and heritage of Middle Georgia Raceway while honoring the people, motor vehicles and venues that are part of motorsports history.” Raceway owner Tim Thornton and executive director Tiffany Peavy spoke with us about the festival, its history, Richard Petty and many other racers who will be there, and the attractions at the reunion. 

What: 3rd Annual Racers Reunion 

Time: 9AM – 5PM

Where: Historic Middle Georgia Raceway (4015 U.S. Highway 41, Byron, GA 31008)

Admission: $10 (Kids 10 and under get in for FREE)
