Crawford County Deputy Fired for Involvement in Bar Brawl

KNOXVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Crawford County sheriff’s deputy has been fired after the sheriff’s office conducted an internal investigation into a bar brawl earlier this month.

According to Sheriff Lewis Walker, Deputy Scott Richard Bruce was involved in a fight at Country Rock Bar and Grill in Spalding County on August 18. He was off duty at the time. Deputies arrested him and charged him with obstructing or hindering law enforcement officers and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanor charges.
