Crawford County Deputy Suspended After Bar Brawl
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Crawford County Sheriff’s deputy suspended after he was arrested in Spalding County following a bar brawl had only been on the job for four months.
Crawford County Deputy Scott Richard Bruce was involved in the fight Aug. 18, at the Country Rock Bar and Grill, located at 2700 North Expressway in Spalding County.
Bruce and an unidentified person got into an argument which led to the fight.
Spalding County Deputies were at the bar at the time of the incident.
Bruce was arrested and charged with obstructing or hindering law enforcement officers and disorderly conduct.
A court date has not been set for Bruce to answer the misdemeanor charges.
Bruce worked in the Crawford County Sheriff’s officepatrol division. He has been suspended pending completion of an internal investigation.
