EMA directors from around the area are preparing for the winter storm. BibbCounty held a weather briefing this morning with GEMA and advised the public works department to be on standby.

Houston, Monroe and BaldwinCounties were all in preparation mode today, getting the sand trucks ready to take on the snow and sleet mix. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says if severe winter weather hits in middle Georgia it’s better to not travel but if you must, plan ahead and know the forecast and the travel route.
