Houston County Bus Overturns, Two Students Reported with Minor Injuries

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Georgia State troopers are investigating an overturned bus accident that left two students with minor injuries.

According to Houston County Schools spokeswoman Beth McLaughlin, the accident happened around 8 a.m. on Dunbar Road. She says the were six Northside Elementary students on board.

All six students were taken to the hospital to be checked out. One student had a bloody nose and another student said his or her arm was hurting, McLaughlin said.

The bus driver and monitor was also transported to the hospital to be checked out as a precaution.

School officials believe the bus slid into a ditch and then overturned, but the Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident. 41NBC is waiting on more details as to what caused the incident.
