Family Seeking Community’s Help For Son’s Funeral
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A family with ties to middle Georgia is seeking help from the community. Holly Graff is from Warner Robins. She and her husband Jonathan are currently stationed at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa. Tuesday night, the family lost their 7-year-old son Jonny.
Jonny was born with a major heart defect and complications from an infection he contracted in the hospital led to brain damage. Holly and Jonathan have 5 other children and are trying to get Jonny and the rest of their family back to Warner Robins for the funeral on Saturday.
“He was just a true pleasure to know. He was one of those kids that his eyes lit up when you walked in the room. He smiled all the time. He loved music. Frank Sinatra was his favorite,” said Jonny’s great aunt Pam Piper who works in Macon.
In lieu of flowers, the Graff family is asking for new toys that they plan to donate to local pediatric wards. To help the family, go to www.gofundme.com.
Type in ‘Jonny Graff’ in the search box and donate any amount.
The funeral is Saturday, August 10 at 3PM. It will be at Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robins. The public is encouraged to attend – the family asks that everyone wears a happy color instead of black.
