Suspected Gang Member Wanted for Gordon Beating Turns Himself In

Malcom J DanielsGORDON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – One of the suspected gang members wanted for his involvement in a brutal gang beating turned himself into authorities over the weekend.

According to Wilkinson County jail records, 21-year-old Malcom Daniels (pictured top) turned himself into the sheriff’s office on Sunday.

Daniels was one of 11 suspected members of the gang known as “Group Development” who brutally kicked, stomped, and beat two men at the Prairie Summit Apartments on June 30th. Gordon Police investigator Andy Hester says one victim was hit in the eye with brass knuckles and needed plastic surgery. The other victim suffered from neck and back injuries. Both men are recovering.

Travis VealDaniels is charged with aggravated battery and participation in criminal street gang activity. He has bonded out of jail.

Gordon police are looking for one more suspected wanted in this case. Hester says Travis Veal (pictured bottom) is also facing the same charges.
