With School Approaching, Macon-Bibb Health Department Offers Immunizations, Screenings

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Parents in Bibb County had a chance Monday to get their kids immunizations up to date for the start of the school year.

Kids also got dental, hearing and vision checks at the Macon-Bibb County Health Department’s annual “Back 2 School Carnival.”  In addition to all the health checks, there was plenty of popcorn, prizes and other activities for the kids.

Mary Brown with the health department says if you still haven’t gotten your kids up to date, you still have time to stop by before school starts on August 5.

“Feel free to come,” she says.  “We’re here to service anyone we can or help you in any way to get the children enrolled for Pre-K and back to school.”

The health department, located at 171 Emery Highway, is open Monday through Friday from 8 to 4:30.
