Deputy Superintendent Griffin-Ziebart Leaving Bibb County Schools
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — One of the Bibb County School District’s deputy superintendents is packing up and moving back to her home state.
Deputy superintendent of school improvement and redesign, Suzanne Griffin-Ziebart, is heading to Minnesota to serve as the chief academic officer for the Minneapolis School District.
Griffin-Ziebart says she applied for the job in April, and went on an interview in July.
“I wasn’t looking for just any job. I wasn’t wanting to leave Macon necessarily, but this was just one of those opportunities that had lights around it and arrows pointing to it, because it had all sorts of challenges, and opportunities and lined up well with my passions, and skills, and also brought me closer to home,” said Griffin-Ziebart.
Griffin-Ziebart served as interim superintendent of schools for three months after Dallemand’s departure. Her last day is August 9th.
