Man Linked to Zodiac Shooting Arrested
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – U.S. Marshalls and Macon Police arrested another man Thursday, for his involvement in the recent Zodiac nightclub shooting.
Police said they have new evidence linking Percy Welch Jr., to the incident. This is the eighth arrest made by police in the Zodiac louge slaying.
Welch has been taken into custody 15 times in Bibb County since 1994.
Although, he was not one of the original eight suspects, police said they have enough evidence to link Welch to the assault.
He was arrested at his home, located in the 4600 block of Mercer University Drive in Macon. Welch is charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, participation in criminal street gang activity and parole violation.
17-year-old Jamonni Bland was killed and three other people were injured during the shooting at the Zodiac lounge earlier this month.
