Stone Academy Kids Let Loose at Rigby’s Entertainment Complex

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Hundreds of Macon kids got the chance to let loose and have a little fun on Tuesday morning.

Stone Academy Director Tony Lowden bussed the kids down to Rigby’s Entertainment Complex in Warner Robins.

The owner of Rigby’s says it was great to see the kids enjoying themselves.

“They all have smiles on their faces, they’re enjoying the food, they’re enjoying the roller skating and i love to see that happen,” said Rigby.

Lowden says part of the curriculum at the summer camp is centered around technology, which they got plenty of exposure to at Rigby’s! Plus, it’s an opportunity some of these kids don’t find at home.

“It’s a game changer for a lot of these kids, you know sometimes they don’t get the chance to get out of Macon. In order to stop the gangs, and the violence, and stuff like that we gotta show kids more. Not only do we have to educate them and show them what’s right, but we need to show them that there’s more to life then living by code or color of a shirt,” said Lowden.

Lowden says if you’re interested in being a part of Stone Academy, just stop by the Booker T Washington center for more information.
