UPDATE: 3 Arrested, Macon Police Looking for 5 More in Zodiac Lounge Fatal Shooting
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Macon police have arrested three people in connection with the fatal shooting at Zodiac Lounge in Macon and are looking for five more suspects.
Andre Bonner and Miranda Victoria Pettiway have been arrested and charged with murder, criminal attempt to committ murder, and participation in criminal street gang activity.
At her first court appearance Thursday afternoon, Pettiway was denied bond.
30-year-old Kiyo Latrice Johnson turned herself in late this afternoon after police put a warrant out for her arrest on charges of criminal attempt to commit murder and participation in criminal street gang activity.
17-year-old Jamonni Bland was killed Friday morning after a fight broke out at the Zodiac Lounge.
“The shooting spilled out into the adjacent parking garage where Jomanni Bland was shot and killed,” said Major Charles Stone, Macon Police Department.
Three others, Bonner, 25-year-old Steven Billue, and 21-year-old Deion Davis were also shot during the incident.
Macon police have signed warrants for five others who are wanted for the same charges as Johnson. Macon Police are searching for:
- 27-year-old Johnifer Dernard Barnwell
- 27-year-old Arthur Thomas Freeman, III
- 27-year-old John Michael Hollingshed
- 29-year-old Jimmy Scott, III
- 27-year-old Jarrett Taylor
At a news conference Thursday afternoon to announce the arrests and charges, Major Stone wouldn’t comment furth on their relationship only saying all eight people know each other, and police know them too.
Between the eight of them, they’ve been arrested 104 times.
Bonner’s arrest warrants accuse him of shooting Bland five times at close range with a hand gun, and also beating Davis.
According to her arrest warrant, Pettiway was the getaway driver for Andre Bonner who “shot Bland five times at close range with a handgun.” It also says John Hollingshed, who shot victim Deon Davis eight times, was also in the car. Davis survived those injuries.
Both Bonner and Pettiway’s warrants say they are members of the street gang “Mafia.”
“The family was notified the warrants were given and they were please and we’re trying to give them closure. detectives are working very hard to make sure that’s the result of this investigation, closure,” said Stone.
