U.S. Postal Service Works on Christmas

While most places are closed on Christmas, you can be sure the U.S. Postal Service will be working here in Middle Georgia.

If you’re concerned your holiday package won’t make it to your friend or relative in time for Christmas, don’t be. Customer Service Manager Robert Collier says, “We get packages that are dressed up just like they’re under the Christmas tree and we also get express mail so we make sure that we get those gifts out.”

The retail windows at the post office may be closed for the holiday, but staff members will be working behind the scenes to deliver packages on Christmas day.

Whether you’re sending packages locally or internationally, the postal service in Middle Georgia says they’re like someone’s special helper.

Collier says, “We’re in cahoots with Santa. We want to make sure that all the little boys and girls and everybody’s loved ones have a great Christmas.”
