Church and Charity Gives More Than 100 Bikes to Kids

Flaff Chapel Baptist Church teamed up with Campus Crest Communities of Milledgeville to given 115 bikes to children today.

Parents came to the church to receive the bikes they had previously asked and signed up for.

Pastor Omer Reid of Flagg Chapel Baptist Church says they give the bikes only to those who truly need them and not just anyone who comes in asking for a free bike.

He said, “Being able to give away these bicycles is going to mean a whole lot to alot of families who otherwise simply wouldn’t have anything for Christmas.”

The bicycle giveaway began in 2006, and each year has given away more bikes than the year before.
