UPDATE: 17-Year-Old Dead, 3 Others Shot at Macon Club

MACON, Georgia(41NBC/WMGT) — Macon Police Held a news conference in reference to the deadly club shooting that left a teen dead and three others injured.

Interim Police Chief Mike Carswell addressed the possibility of gang activity and says he’s not ruling out anything.

“We’re investigating all possibilities for a motive in this shooting no conclusion has been reached as of yet,” Carswell said.

He said there is a possibility that there could be multiple shooters.

Zodiac Lounge Manager Kelron Howard says since the club opened, nothing like this has ever happened.

“This is an isolated incident, this is something that does not happen, my main concern now is not the business, but the families of the victims of the deceased,” Howard said.

A deadly shooting at a Macon nightclub early Friday morning left a 17-year-old dead and 3 others shot.

According to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones, the call came in around 3:30A.M. 17-year-old Jamonni Bland was shot dead in the parking lot near the Zodiac Lounge, at the River View Ballroom on Walnut Street.

Gary Lester, a witness who also works and lives at the River View Hotel said he had only been at the nightclub for 2 minutes when the fight broke out.

“I knew something was going to happen because anytime you see people run to the car, first thing I thought was he’s going to get a gun, so I ran upstairs and called 9-1-1,” said Lester.

He added that he heard about 20 shots

25-year-old Steven Billue was shot in left shoulder. He was transported to Coliseum Medical Center. 30-year-old Andrae Bonner was shot in the neck and 21-year-old Deion Davis was shot multiple times. They were both transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia. All three are in stable condition, according to Macon Police.
