Furlough Days Begin Monday for Robins Air Force Base Civilian Workers
ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — On Monday, furlough days start for civilian employees on the base, and that could mean up to 11 days of unpaid time off per worker.
The Department of Defense set July 8th as the start of the non-paid mandatory time as part of budget cuts.
According to a schedule released by the RAFB in late May, the furloughs will happen through the end of the 2013 budget year. During the this time, monetary performance awards and overtime will not be given out.
