Suspect in Houston County Drive-By Shooting in Custody

rossHOUSTON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A suspect in a drive-by shooting early Sunday morning is in custody.

The Houston County Sheriff’s Office says 32-year-old Antonio Ross was arrested without incident.

Around 3:30 Sunday morning, Ross allegedly fired multiple shots from a vehicle in the 1500 block of Sweetwater Drive.

Ten people were at the home, including several children, but no one was injured. 

Capt. Jon Holland with the sheriff’s office says witnesses told investigators shots were fired from a white vehicle.  Perry police located a vehicle matching the description given by witnesses and the tag number led police to Ross’ home in the 300 block of Hodge Road.  Holland says Ross was arrested there and taken into custody without incident.

Ross is being held in the Houston County Detention Center on ten counts of aggravated assault.  He’s also charged with possession of marijuana.
