One Person Dead after House Fire in Macon
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon family is grieving after a house fire claimed the life of a 19-year-old Saturday afternoon.
According to Bibb County Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley, the fire ripped through the house on Mafiel Drive shortly after 3 p.m. Brandon Johnson was transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia where he later died. A family member tells 41NBC they believe the fire started in the kitchen.
An autopsy is expected to be back on Monday, Miley says.
