Museum of Arts and Sciences Ready for Bug Day Saturday
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The bugs are back in town at the Museum of Arts and Sciences.
Their annual Bug Day is all set for Saturday the museum on Forsyth Road in Macon.
All kinds of bugs will be on hand–everything from hissing cockroaches to tarantulas. There will be bug experts on hand with their collections, and if you’re hungry, you can hit up the Fear Factor Feast for things like chocolate chirp cookies and buggy brittle.
“People are so scared of insects, because we have lack of knowledge,” says Sharon Wilhelm, a curator at the museum. “Once you learn, and understand why they’re here, things don’t seem quite as creepy as they used to.”
Saturday’s festivities kick off at 10 a.m. and the event runs until 4. For ticket prices and more information, visit the museum online.
