Macon-Bibb Commission Candidate Danny Glover Drops Out of District 3 Race

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Danny Glover, Macon-Bibb County Commission candidate for the District 3 seat, announced he is dropping out of the race.

“It is with great hope and great joy that I am here today to withdraw my candidacy,” Glover said at a news conference on Tuesday.

Glover along with community activist Al Tillman will endorse former Bibb County School Board member Terry Tripp who is running for the District 3 seat.

In January, Glover was arrested and charged with marijuana possession. He declined to comment on whether his arrest influenced his decision to drop out of the race.
