Warner Robins Councilman Mike Brashear Running for Mayor

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Warner Robins Councilman Mike Brashear says it’s time to move in to the mayor’s seat.

Brashear announced Tuesday morning he’s putting his name on the ballot because times are changing and Warner Robins needs a “mayor with vision, experience, and leadership to guide and grow our city.”

Brashear will resign from his council four post when he qualifies for the mayor’s race in August.

He also said he told Mayor Chuck Shaheen about his plans to run. 41NBC is waiting to hear back from Shaheen on his reaction to the announcement.

Chuck Chalk and Randy Toms have also announced they’ll run for mayor. Mayor Shaheen has not said whether or not he’ll run for re-election.
