Houston Co. Sergeant Resigns after Unnecessary Force Allegations

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Houston County Sergeant resigned after allegations of unnecessary force.

According to a news release from the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, Sergeant Kenneth Beck arrested Patrick Asselin on May 17 near Maulk Circle for an aggravated stalking offense. Asselin made the claim against Beck.

The department opened an internal investigation into Asselin’s allegations. Shortly after, Beck submitted a letter of resignation.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is now looking into the case.
